CRYOLIPOLYSIS IN MONTREUX, LAUSANNE AND GENEVA (SWITZERLAND)
This new revolutionary method allows to redraw the silhouette with the help of the cold, reducing the small localized curves. Since this is not a surgical procedure, it is non-invasive, needle-free, anesthetic and completely painless. This is a real alternative to liposuction, without surgery!
Still called coolsculpting, the process of cryolipolysis is simple: fat cells are more sensitive than other cells to extreme cold. The contact of the fat with very low temperatures (-4 ° C to -8 ° C) can lead to the self-destruction (apoptosis) of about a third of the adipocytes, which will be gradually eliminated from the body in several Weeks. This natural destruction of the fat cells will not damage the neighboring tissues (unlike focused ultrasound and other laser lipolysis).
Laclinic-Montreux, and the Beauty Suite in Lausanne, (30 minutes from Geneva), use the cryolipolysis Coolsculpting ™ brand Allergan®.
WHAT ARE THE INDICATIONS OF CRYOLIPOLYSIS?
Cryolipolysis is aimed at both the woman and the man who has small localized fat overloads responsible for a disgraceful silhouette. Despite a balanced diet and regular sports activities, these little beads do not disappear. The cryolipoyse will allow them to remove them without social eviction!
All small overloads can be treated with cryolipolysis: love handles, a small belly under the navel, arms, small saddlebags, the inner face of the thighs, the knees … The fold of skin must not exceed 5 cm thick.
Cryolipolysis may also be used in the sequelae and / or in addition to liposuction, in case of residual fatty overload.
Cryolipolysis is not a diet, it does not allow to lose weight and to eliminate cellulite. This technique will also not make it possible to eliminate important overloads of fat. In this case a dietary management will most often be necessary, regardless of any medical-surgical treatment such as cryolipolysis or liposuction. Doctor Jean-Charles BAYOL will give you hygiene-dietary recommendations that will correct any overweight if necessary.
DOES THERE BE CONTRAINDICATIONS TO CRYOLIPOLYSIS?
Apart from excess weight, under the dietary and nutritional management, and the localized fatty overload notable more liposuction, contraindications are rare. They will be screened during the examination and clinical examination.
Contraindications may be general: Raynaud’s syndrome, cold urticaria, cryoglobulinemia, pregnancy, limb arteriopathy, pacemaker.
Contraindications may be local: hernia of the abdominal wall, wound and skin infection.

HOW A CRYOLIPOLYSE SESSION HAS BEEN IN MONTREUX, LAUSANNE AND GENEVA (SWITZERLAND)?
Cryolipolysis remains a medical procedure, which must be performed under medical supervision.
Just before the session, the zone (s) to be treated will be surrounded, always in a standing position. The thickness of the initial skin fold will be checked and compared with the measurement performed during the first consultation.
Then you will be comfortably seated in a half-sitting position. The silicone handpiece will be applied to the area to be treated after having been brushed with a protective gel. If there are several zones, several handpieces will be arranged. The handpiece will suck the localized grease over a surface measuring about 30 cm long by 10 cm wide (area variable depending on area and handpiece used). Once aspirated, the grease pile will be gradually cooled. The cooling temperature will have been determined, after examination, by the aesthetic physician.
A session lasts about an hour. As the technique of cryolipolysis is totally painless, it is possible to read, listen to music, or watch a movie during this time.
At the end, the handpiece will be removed and the cooled area will be massaged so that it returns to its normal appearance.
A session of LED will be kindly offered to you after the cryolipolysis, in order to regenerate your skin.
WHAT ARE THE FOLLOWING AFTER A CRYOLIPOLYSE SESSION?
Cryolipolysis is a completely painless method, at most one can feel a pinch after applying the handpiece at the beginning of the session.
Redness, swelling and blues can occur within hours and days after the session, as well as a mild sensation of skin insensitivity. All these signs will disappear quickly in a few hours to a few days.
In order to limit the duration and duration of a cryolipolysis session, you will be systematically taken care of by the physiotherapy department, for post-therapeutic care. Indeed, massages and lymphatic drainage will accelerate the convalescence period.
Some precautions should be taken after a session of cryolipolysis: drinking water regularly, having a balanced diet and regular physical activity. Sports activities can be resumed almost immediately. The anti-aging doctor will give you a sheet of detailed instructions before you leave.
WHAT RESULTS CAN I HOPE, IN HOW MANY TIMES AND IN HOW MANY SESSIONS?
It takes a minimum of 3 to 4 months to start seeing the results. These results will be considered stable and definitive from 6 to 8 months.
If the results can vary from one patient to another, cryolipolysis reduces the small localized fat overload by 30 to 40%.
One or several other sessions could be envisaged in two cases:
– To harmonize the silhouette by treating a zone contiguous to the treated zone;
– To improve the result on the same area, when the overload is more voluminous. In this case, treatment may be repeated between the 4th and 6th month after the first session.
Fat cells destroyed by the cold will not reappear. The result on the silhouette will be stable over time, with the unique condition of maintaining a balanced diet and regular physical activity.
