MAXILLOFACIAL SURGERY IN SWITZERLAND

Maxillofacial surgery was born during the First World War, when surgeons developed techniques to repair the soldiers’ mutilated faces also called “broken mouths”. Today in Switzerland, a maxillofacial surgeon is a specialist in facial surgery.

In close collaboration with dentists from the dental center of Laclinic in Montreux, Dr. Jean-Charles BAYOL performs orthognathic surgery (treatment of facial dysmorphoses such as prognathisms or retrognathisms), as well as pre-implant surgery (bone grafting in the jaws to enable the placing of dental implants).
